Oh dear…..not the best start to a tour.

You don’t need to keep revving it !

…….

Bloke keeps revving it 😂

Hope they get sorted, Chinese shite……. Oh hang on …..

There are a couple of threads on this issue....pretty well known

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.

His problems are only just beginning. The common 1250 restarting issue.

New battery required.

Most of my 1250 starting problems were caused by the Stealth tracker draining the battery over 3 days - dumped the tracker, all good, but then battery failed a year later giving exactly the symptoms this guy experienced - new Yuasa battery from Halfords all good again. A year and a half of the new battery and sometimes there is a 'hiccup' when starting in cold weather.

The 1250 starter does seem to be pretty hard on batteries, even with the automatic valve decompressor.

I always keep the bike on the maintenance charger when not used for a week or so in the Winter.

Do what many of us on here have done and buy a Motobatt hybrid, mine currently holds a charge of 13.4v after two weeks, complete with my BikeTrac connected. After another two weeks it will drop down by a further 0.2v. Whereas my 16ah, supa dupa Yuasa would never sit at more than 12.7 overnight, regardless of temp outside.

I bet the battery has reached the end of it's tether, no longer prepared to start the R,W& B monster with full on twat suits on board. Oh the embarrassment of it all.

Bet he doesn't use a battery tender, and being a 20 plate it would have had the Datatool stealth tracker fitted at the factory, so unless he's binned that POS ( mine went at the end of the free subscription) it's likely that's tipped the battery over the edge. Bin the tracker, fit a new battery and get an Optimate etc and it'll be all good again. All the extra lights, cameras etc draining power on start up wouldn't have helped either.

I did feel sorry for them though, you could hear the disappointment and panic in his voice, even over the revving engine..... Eeee buy gum....

Which exact battery model is that? - I think I'll get one.

I thought he might have left the side stand down .
What was he waiting for when he attached the booster pack ?
For the electricity to fill the battery .
Very worrying for the bike to behave like this ,feel sorry for him though .
