I have just noticed some oil under the left hand side hose connection point where the pipe joins the coiler-but there doesn't appear to be any crck in the coiler and the connecting nut seems tight-anyone had any problem like this?-it's a high mileage (56,000) bike-but the oil coller is up high out of the crap-so it's not corroded. The bike has just had a new loom fitted and I wonderd if something had been disturbed / removed to get to the cockpit connectore? Help please -Thanks

Unlikely that the work on the wiring loom would disturb the oil cooler. Attached view of the oil cooler gives you a look at the two points where there could be a problem. The oil cooler pipe should not be overtightned - the B*W books says 10nm max.
Good luck with it.

Thanks

Thanks very much I will see if it's been overtightened-I didn't think the loom work could have done it really - no connections direct to the cooler I am aware of - but I hoped! If the oil coiler was removed for some reason it could have released some spare oil-anyway how difficult to fix can this leak be? I will have to get the bike out and hot enough to trigger the cooler again-Cheers:)

Well I got it hot this morning and no leak-so thanks for the advice-maybe it's just one of those things -it has had a lot done to it recently-or maybe a longer run will bring it back-anyway-no immeadiate gusher!

:p
