Changing oil and filter on the R100gs oil cooler fitted.

Filter no OX36D inc rubber O'ring square edges

I Also have in the kit
1 paper Gasket, 1 rubber O'ring,1 Shim.

I have always changed like for like IE_

NO paper Gasket fitted to cover.
NO shim fitted to inside lip of filter aperture.

I've never had an oil leak from this area, or oil pressure problems.

Should I, do I need to change this set up. Add the shim and the paper gasket or will this in tern give an oil pressure problem?

the step between the face of the oil filter and the oil tube should be between 3.2 and 3.8mm. If it's more then you add a shim to make the measurement correct. No paper shim required on yours.

Anton Largiadiers site has all the info http://www.largiader.com/tech/filters/
