..pleeeaase tell me there is a way of accessing the oil filter without removing the roll bars, the sump hard thing, the exhaust and the radiator on a 80 gspd...please tell me!!
I don't remember having to remove that stuff. Undo the bolts holding the cover on, the filter is a split one which effectively bends to allow it to move around the frame.
Yep! Kinda figured out halfway through the disassembly that it must of had a previous oil change and the bolts were a little chipped for that reason. Remove the radiator connection and it becomes a lot easier! Although all the O rings didn't help the matter. Then spent another couple of hours putting back all the things that I taken off I the first place. We live and learn.
No way! It would've had a Vikings funeral after 2!
On a side note, I'm surprised that considering its a 23 year old bike there ain't a spot of rust on it. A slight discoloration on about 6 spoke nipples, but no rust unlike some of our other brethren?
