Looks like my new (ex Johnny Boxer ) 80G/S PD is leaking oil from the oil pressure switch.

Is it just a case of buying a new one or should I be checking something else which may have caused it?

Or is there a simple fix to the exsiting switch?

Thanks

What!! did the Out-Blinged meister sell his bike after all?

If you're lucky you can get away with a new copper washer. I had one where the oil leaked from the centre of the pressure switch so it was fecked. A new ones around £6 from Motorworks.

He sure did, I picked it up yesterday and took it roding in the Peaks today... guided by Spout.

I'll take a close look to see where the leaks coming from (centre or washer)

I did wonder what would cause it... something causeing to much pressure maybe

Probably something terminal...I'll do you a favour and swap it for my Mono PD, Same year, same colour frame and a PD tank. You won't notice the difference at all :D

Yup..best replacing it..they do fail for no apparant reason.....just unscrew and replace. Think no more of it...now if your neutral light switch fails...now that IS a bas***d to replace !!!

Great bike you got btw :thumb

Funny. I had the same thing (oil leaking). I was advised to buy a new one, and installed it yesterday.

This is how it looked like (the old one)

Yes it is indeed a nice bike but I'm not sure it warants the heavy breathing in the background of the video!
