Early 2013 LC with 8000 miles. I have owned the bike from new and apart from a couple of recall issues its been a cracking bike.
Just returned from a little trip to Istanbull to find a fluid/oil leak all the way down the back of the left cylinder ! (sorry, dont know how to upload pic)
Anybody else had this or know anything about the problem ?
Thanks
Mark

Might be wrong, but if that were oil wouldn't it be a case of just wiping it off? Whatever's there seems to have dried and formed a stain, which I wouldn't expect from oil.

I'd keep an eye on the fluid levels and not worry to much about it. Could've just been a dog with particularly good aim ...

Bit easier with a picture lol
Do you also own a air head ? Sometimes the owners spring the odd small leak:D

To be honest, i havn't investigated. After 3 weeks and 4000 miles riding eastern europe iv parked it in the back of the garage for a while lol. i thought id post here incase it was a common fault but if you good people havn't seen or heard of this problem, i need to have a look.

It looks like the same staining you used to get on 1150 gearboxes when fuel was seeping from QDs (usually due to a bad O ring).

If this is the case, the bad news is there's no way of removing the stain...

Cheers Mike. If it is fuel and it has stained it will be sorted under warranty ;)

check whether your fuel tank's overflow hose is where its supposed to be and also whether its still connected.
