so during my rigorous daily inspection on my 63 plate 90th gsa
i noticed an oil leak from the left hand barrel area.i cleaned of the excess and ran the engine up and low and behold found the cam chain tensioner leaking,no prob its under warrenty so i will bung it into the dealer for repair.upon phoning dealer and being told it would be the 8th of august until they could look at it i deceided to have a go meself.
breather pipe under cyl at at air box end disconected,2 cable ties on the throttle body snipped,3 torx screws on the tb and away it swings.i can now get to the 15mm cam tensioner hex,gave it a tug with a spanner and found it was quite loose.was surprised it was loose as i have had several tc and never had this prob.so if you have an oil leak in that area have a look at the tensioner
