Oil leaking camshaft speed sensor sensor plate.

Oil seems to be leaking from my right camshaft speed sensor sensor plate. I haven't taken it off yet but from the microfiche it looks like there is an o-ring behind the plate. Is this a "known" failure? Should it just of matter of changing the o-ring? Thanks in advance

I took off the sensor plate and the o-ring was split alright.
