JUST NOTICED TODAY THAT MY OIL WARNING LIGHT DIDN'T COME ON WHEN I SWITCHED THE IGNITION ON,ALL THE OTHERS DID.I TRIED IT SEVERAL TIMES BUT TO NO AVAIL, HAS THIS HAPPENED TO ANY ONE ELSE? YOUR TIPS WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED, MANY THANKS.

Usually the light show's when there is lack of pressure, I guess the switch is permanently shorted out or the dash bulb has blown. Check the sender out on top of the engine see if it is pemanently shut using a multimeter on Ohms or continuity.

Had a similar issue along with a few misbehaving warning lights. Traced it too the wiring harness on the right hand sice of the headstock wher the earth wires join up. Do a search on this and you will find that it is not that uncommon a fault

Pull the lead off the oil switch, and ground it ( hold it against the engine)
if the light comes on, it's the switch thats faulty

Hate to have to ask this gents, but where is the oil pressure switch? I've found the oil temperature sender next to the top rubber hose that goes to the oil cooler , but can't find the oil sender.
