I am slightly worried as to some information that my friend past onto me. He told me he has done an oil change and replaced with car oil, as I have always been advised against this I voiced my concerns. What I need to know is DOES IT MATTER? and should I tell him to drop it immediately.
ps when I say a friend I do mean a friend and not me!

Assuming that your friend has a GS, then car oil of the correct SPEC. is OK. gS run dry clutches so do not need bike specific oil that is designed to be OK with wet clutches.
