Hi all,
I have owned a 2002 1150gs for just over 2 years. It has around 101,000 miles on the clock and I thoroughly enjoy owning it. It is totally reliable and starts first time every time……..BUT……it does seem to have a few wiring quirks.
When you switch the bike on to start no warning lights show (including no oil pressure light and it is a non-abs version) The gear indicator screen works fine so you know you are in neutral. Once the bike has run for a while and when neutral is selected the neutral light comes on a little dimmer than usual along with the charging light (no issues with battery). I believe this may all be due to the wiring loom getting old and playing up (a common issue I believe) Is it worth the time, effort and cost to have the loom sorted or just accept that a 23 year old bike comes with a few quirks. Any advice would be most welcome
