On my way to Algeciras - Morocco bound

The right one it is, thanks

I've tested Mapy.cz offline it will search for a destination and navigate.

So it does! That’s very good. Also I checked the MRA map, and that now works offline too, if you’ve downloaded the map for that area.

Well so far mapy.cz is very good. The route suggested is so far an experience. As soon as I left the Chefchaoen region the quality of the roads changed immediately, mixture of rough sealed roads or no sealing at all. Great stuff.
Having my second tea stop now, half way to Fez

Well done, I thought you would prefer that one :thumb

Made it to Fez, all good, so far Morocco is very chill, all driving is very good compared to other places. The road I took was excellent and I spent six hours doing the ride with three drink breaks. Checked into a Riad for 14 Euros but paid 3euro for overnight underground parking, which is fine by me. I guess I will stay here two nights so I can have a better look around. If I get bored I can always go for a spin for a couple of hours.

Problems, tethering is playing up again so below some phone photos. And my forearms tendons especially left hand are sore, fine for riding but once off the bike they are weak. This is probably due to a very serious double wrist break I had as a teenager. Phone was, as expected an APN problem, which I guessed from the start but took me a while to find the right settings.

The couple was a daughter and father from Fez who were on a GS1200

The rhino walk bags are very good, no rack and stable out. I have not much luggage so space for some xmas presents and the liners of my old Hein Gericke suit

It gets dark early, I am travelling alone, I am not searching for the local pub. So I have plenty of time.

I am actually just getting into the being alone bit, it is rewarding and demanding at the same time. If the days were longer I'd still be roaming around.

Cheers

So, Wednesday looks like a long day. Especially if I factor in two hours worth of stops. I will have to be on the road by 930.
Fes to Erfoud
The Ziz Valley just North of Erfoud (along your route) is said to be home to over a million date palms.

It is indeed a fantastic sight with many photo opportunities around every bend..... and on some straight bits too :D

A bit of a downer here today. Was out walking. I always leave everything I don't need in my room. Passport money etc. Well I just got back and 200 euros and some Local cash stolen from my room. My lock, but easy to undo two screws to remove the bolt. Not sure if I should pursue it as I can't see it coming back.

Fair enough. At least they didn’t relieve you of your passport.

Onwards and outwards, as they (sort of) say.

Not sure I want to fuck about with the local plod. I guess I should at least text the owner. Like always, I have no idea who did it. But it was done....
We had similar in Port Siad. Engaging with the local Police was one of the highlights of our visit there - a lot of tea was drunk
