Thank you for deciphering it for us Richard.

Could’ve caused even more confusion too - I think Doc knows he’s from up north but may not be too good on east and west.Describing direction of travel as east or west etc. could have avoided any confusion.
However, the thread wouldn't have been as entertaining. As you were.

The first person he met was Rabbit.
"Hallo, Rabbit," he said, "is that you?"
"Let's pretend it isn't," said Rabbit, "and see what happens."
"I've got a message for you."
"I'll give it to him."
"We're all going on an Expotition with Christopher Robin!"
"What is it when we're on it?"
"A sort of boat, I think," said Pooh.
"Oh! that sort."
"Yes. And we're going to discover a Pole or something. Or was it a Mole? Anyhow we're going to discover it."
"We are, are we?" said Rabbit.
"Yes. And we've got to bring Pro—things to eat with us. In case we want to eat them.
I once nearly taken a train ride from Hamburg to that area of northern Germany, but never really made it, due to horrible weather at that particular time.Or Mecklenburg-Vorpommern?
Oops. France St Malo
@Arsey back yard this. No doubt he’ll have suggestions for Doc. I’d be tempted to bimble along the coast.
Lovely area around Carnac. Though not sure if that would be right or left? Have you got R and L marked clearly on your boots Doc?![]()
Brilliant !!!
Only Doc could want to arrive in St Malo and turn left !!
I suggest you turn right and explore Brittany unless you like the pretty boring flat lands of Normandy .
Perhaps he was backing off the boatBrilliant !!!

Aah, that's easy. He probably has front, and rear marked on themI dread to think how long it takes Doc to put his undercrackers on each morning.
It always works out in the end.![]()
I’ve not stayed in St. Malo personally, but I’d imagine places like Dinan are by far more attractive, and under an hour away from port. The ferry won’t be leaving until 10:30am. We rode from Rennes this year to the said port and made it in very good time.Would like a base for four nights in or around St Malo. Two days to get down there and two days back.
And dont any of you lot tell me you have never put your undercrackers on the wrong way round. Very annoying when you want a piss.![]()

Ah, but if he goes south no doubt he’ll want to go north at some point to get his ferry? Unless he’s leaving from Cherbourg?Christ, this is like drawing teeth.
Doc now wants to:
A. Stay in (or reasonably close to) St Malo, for four nights. He‘ll no doubt need suggestions as to biker friendly digs.
B. Journey out, presumably each day, from St Malo ( or there abouts) to return to his hotel. From other posts, we know that Doc likes to be bumping into the hotel reception at around 15:00 local time each afternoon, so don’t go suggesting the Millau Bridge (despite it being ‘Must do’ location number two on every bikermates itinerary for France).
C. The journeys out from St Malo must be westward, though I guess he doesn’t entirely rule out south and east. North, is a non-stater.
