I've loaded my 660 up with music MP3 files and lately as the tunes are playing there is a hick-up/pause every 2 mins or so, quite distracting in the middle of a tune.

Any suggestions?

I had that on my Nav IV. Never did bottom it out, as BMW exchnged the unit for a Nav V and the problem disappeared.

But do make sure that all your music is in MP3 format

Check which firmware version your using as its a common problem with firmware version 5.00, you need to reinstall 4.90 if thats the case.

Suggestion - use an iPod. I spent a good few quid on a Bluetooth gizmo for exactly this when I got the Zumo and between the mucic glitches, frequent (and useless) speed camera bleeps, directions repeated and repeated ad nauseam when approaching every junction I have turned the sound off and simply watch the arrows on the screen for turn directions.

Wish I'd bought a Tomtom actually :(

I'm sure the mp3 skipping issue is purely to do with bluetooth as it doesn't skip if using the stereo jack output. Turning either the headset or zumo off resets it for a while. Latest 5.0 software just makes the same issue worse so I'm sticking with 4.9 for the time being.

I'm wired through a stardom and have no issues with music at all. Has to be a Bluetooth issue.

It's the 5.0 firmware that's got the Bluetooth issue.
