Yes Jochen, believe it or not... Same camera! No bouncing down the autoroute this time :blast

P.S. I will finish it next week...

Keep them coming David. I'm really enjoying them. Makes me sorry I din't go to Nepal last year although how manoueverable a GS would have been avoiding charging Tata trucks I have my doubts. :thumb

Sorry for the delay!

Puncture finally sorted we headed back up the Siddartha Highway. The final section of this road into Pokhara doesn't have as good a surface and the last few hours were a bit hard on the arse and lower back! The weather was fine and we hoped to get a good view of the Himalaya in the morning. So far a decent view had eluded us even during our trek in the mountains a week or so earlier. Rolled up to Grand Holiday hotel where we'd left our rucksacks while we were away. The staff here are fantastic and the security guard was a real hoot and saluted me as I entered and exited the building, snapping his heels very smartly. Got my pic taken with him that evening:

It was nice to get back for a shower.
The next morning we got up really early, hoping for a magnificent vista to greet us. This was the best view we had in our month there. Shot taken from our hotel:

Wandered out to find breakfast and get some laundry done. Parked Henry up and admired him. This was to be our last day together...

Wanting to make the most of the view we headed back up into the mountains to Sarangkot.

The clouds had gathered by the time we got there but it was a nice enough spin up there.

Back at the hotel I offloaded Lynda and wrapped the bungee cords round the saddle before heading back to Raju to hand back the bike. Halfway there the bungee cords managed to tangle up with the chain and sprockets so after a bit of effort I freed them and salvaged two. Rolled up to Raju who immediately pointed out the bungee in the chain (oops - missed one)
Here he is:

Thus ended our motorcycle adventures in Nepal.
I haven't covered our jungle safari, mountain trekking or placement in the Gurung village as it's not at all bike related but if anyone is interested I can put up a couple of brief posts to cover these off.
