Have a slightly newer MacBook Air purchased in may this year and as I've tried your update I'm getting a warning message that my computer needs a new drive as this current one from 2012 - 2013 "has issues" please return to my nearest mac dealer for a free new drive. So my advice is try the update and see what advice is forthcoming. :comfort

Cheers for the reply. I shall make a backup and try it at the week end.

Currently downloading onto my mid 2011 Macbook Air. We shall see....:augie

Got it installed. All looks the same, whats new that matters?

Mainly stuff under the hood. Memory management is said to be better, and lots seem to be reporting a snappier feel and better response to the UI. Tabbed windows and tags will make a lot of sense in terms of organising things, especially as we move into an era where metadata becomes more and more important. Can't say I've experienced any of this yet as my broadband is so bloody slow! Should be up and running by the morning though...

Off the top of my head....

Maps, books, keychain will now store your details for filling in web forms etc. better battery life and other stuff you can't see and I can't remember :)

My Notes have vanished, not even a option to create a new not in Mail any more :comfort

Still on iPad and iPhone through iCloud.

Cant back swipe safari pages with the mouse either?

Internet searches drawing a blank

i still have notes. i had to spotlight search for it though as i never use it.

swiping safari with magic mouse ok.

Weirdly I can Spotlight search them and view them but can't amend or create this way. I can create new notes in the notes app but what I want is my iCloud notes that I use between the different devices. Thanks though.

Mouse swipe is now fixed (preferences)

I have now installed and it is running ok (so far) :thumby:

The mouse swipe seems to get disabled. Click on the apple, system preferences, and mouse - you can re-enable it :)

Installed Maverick X a week to two ago, running 10.9.
Issue i have is it keeps dropping WiFi, then showing an ! in the icon on the top bar, turning WiFi off and on a few times seems to cure this until MAC Book is left for a while.
When moving the cursor I keep getting the spinning wheel momentarily, thais can happen on any Safari window.
When moving the cursor to the lowe icons/toolbar they don't always 'Pop up' it can take 2 or 3 goes.

Anyone experiencing any of these issues and any ideas what to do?

I was on the phone to Apple yesterday, and they agreed that there are issues with Mavericks and Parallels, so I'll have to wait until the bugs are ironed out before I upgrade.

A quick look just now suggests that Virtual Box with Windows 7 Professional installed in it is working ok. However, the latest update of Virtual Box, v 4.2.18 doesn't want to install.
