Bought a Honda VFR1200X, 2014 with the manual gearbox. Anyone on here own one and can pass on any helpful knowledge?

I have one, as a confirmed lazy-arse I went DCT and my mate has a manual.
I previously had a 2013 for 5 years which I sold and bought a Tenere, that lasted 4 months before getting chopped in for my current Crosstourer.
Brilliant bike with one of the best engines and to top it off Honda build quality and reliability, great choice LuckyLucian.
https://www.crosstourer.com/index.php?action=forum is not as lively as this place but loads of info and helpful people.

Had a 2012 DCT

if you get buffeting there is a discrete DIY deflector you can make (easily) that goes in front of the tank which cures the problem

a template is available on the UK Crosstourer forum

there is also plenty of info on there about setting up the standard suspension, they handle well once set up

Brilliant bikes for touring 2 up, very comfortable and a bit more room than a GS

Got a lovely Akra titanium can for sale, half the weight of the standard exhaust, and a low seat,
