I run Outlook 2010.

In the left panel it tells me how many emails I have in my inbox, and in blue a number in brackets tells me how many I have that are unread.

I currently have a (10) in blue, but there are no unread emails in my inbox?

Why?

Any help much appreciated.

Have you tried this

select them all and mark them as unread ............ close outlook and reopen and then select them all and mark them as read

Unread mail doesn't have to be in your inbox. It may be (for example) in the spam folder.

Look in the unread items folder and it should list (alongside from, subject, date, etc) which folder the little devils are living in. :thumb

Nope..... Neither of the above..... None unread in inbox, and unread ones in deleted items are shown as seperate blue no in brackets. What i did was 'reset view' option from view tab.... And the ten unread ones appeared ( from i know not where)
I then read 'em and deleted 'em..... And all is tickety boo.
