New kid on the block! I've seen the light and ditched Jap in favour of a GS, but don't have a garage. Can anyone kindly tell me where to get a decent all-weather bike cover for a R1150GS?

I used this one

20 quid from M&P

Used on my 1150GS at my last address for 2 years or so.

Very good value for money. It has 2 vents, with velcro flaps, that allow condensation to evaporate.

In windy weather use 2 x 50p bungee cords to reinforce the single retaining strap.

It looks cheap but does the job. Thieves will assume that there is a shite old bike underneath!

I've had a couple of covers from Classic Additions (www.classicadditions.co.uk) for my bikes and they have been no problem at all.

The man I sold my last bike to asked me where the cover had come from (I threw that in as part of the sale, cos I'm a nice bloke) because he wanted one for his other half's bike.

Outside cover

I house my GS outside under a Heine Gerrick cover. Go for the really big one (£49 as I remember). It's pretty robust.

Keeps all the muck off and more importantly keeps prying opportunistic eyes off my bike!

I'd also recommend a ground hog anchor buried in a 1ft or 2 of concrete and a big chain to keep the scum away!

Eugene:)
