Isn't that Free UK & Europe multi-trip travel insurance?
yep. i'm thinking it also covers for medical stuff as well including repatriation and all that.

covers US, check, yep.
I'm also with PO. Quite a reasonable annual rate and it covers motorcycling in the USA when you tell them that's what you're doing 
as long as you make them aware it's not racing or time trials.

The post office is our back up option as the nationwide one will not cover you if you have points on your licence at the time of travel the PO don't ask and also will cover old bastids like me without extra payment (up tp 74) so if i get any points twixt now and then it will be the PO if i don't it will be the nationwide job

How long from confirmation email (of receipt of application)?
Eleven days.
Should be 2 weeks max Peter and please mail me a copy as soon as you have it. They have changed their system so you won't get the form to sign so it's much easier..
After emailing Chris, I'll be phoning on Monday.
I'm booked out on the West Coast trip in September.
Last weekend I rode down with Richard (Wapping) on one of his weekends away to Viandin. I had a really great time. Though this week has been hell, I'm just out of the Osteopaths. I've come to the realisation that my biking days are over or will be severally curtailed. After fracturing my neck a few years ago. The pain has been hell and not being able to turn my head means that after a weekend on the road has just about finish me off.. 3 weeks I don't even want to go there..!
With a very heavy heart and allot of sole searching. I've decide that I am going to have to pull out of the trip in September..
This means there is now a place going, I'm all booked and paid for. I spoke to BA yesterday and it's possible for me to cancel or transfer the flights to another date or person. I'd be happy to transfer the flights to somone else. In the 1st instance contact Chris or myself..
I also have a pile of maps and other bits that may be of use to anyone going.
