Pacific North West National Parks and Yellowstone.

i am that sad I can't wait for that either!

:)

the bad news is I may have SWMBO with me - so may not be buying useful additional stuff (aka "bits I can't fathom what you will use ever!") from AWB...

my Mrs. is on the trip so it'll be both of us trying to spend on gear. she needs some gloves. i want a jacket but which one i don't know yet. the Klim badlands is tasty but expensive :eek

When I head to France I'm always alright after the first roundabout ....

Klim the best motorcycle clothing I have ever bought!

So...
What is everyone going for?

Limits of $250,000 per person/$500,000 per incident and $100,000 property damage:
$516.07

Limits of $100,000 per person/$300,000 per incident and $50,000 property damage :
$454.52

How litigious is the USA??

I have just got back a reply with the highest. For an extra £36 cover doubles and as America invented the word litigious it may be a safe bet.

Reckon I must have got something wrong. Been quoted $670.45, prior to Chris' e-mither.
Tried again via Chris' link.
Didn't get the option to put in any specific dates. Didn't get in the optionn to put in any 'reference'.

Put 'Unchained' in the 'Where did you hear about us' box. Got exactly the same quote back. :nenau

$670.45 = £400.

I'm not exactly a spring chicken - 51, but the bike was new in October - maybe that's why I'm getting hammered?

I've sent them an e-mither asking them to apply the discount - awaiting a response.

I had a mail conversation with them this morning and they have already applied any discounts they have as I'd sent them a list of riders last week. Have a good look at your application and cover as you may have gone for the top one. The wording is difficult to get your head round for sure but I never pay more than $450 for a trip.

They also quote by month rather than days so you will get a months cover from the start date. I give them the specific dates so they know everyone is on the same trip and it avoids confusion for them. All US departments and companies like things to be spot on!!

We can have a gThere is no massive hurry to get this done quickly so we can have a good chat about it on Saturday:thumb2

Fairley do's. Appreciate it Chris. I'm pretty sure you're right as I did sort of tick every box but rather embarrassingly I have no idea what that does & doesn't cover me for, which is a pretty pathetic approach to take to something that could be crucial.

You have the option to increase the liability limits up to $250,000 per person/$500,000 per incident and $100,000 property damage if you prefer higher limits of liability in the event you are at fault. You selected the limits of $50,000 per person/$100,000 per incident and $25,000 property damage.

Comprehensive and Collision – OPTIONAL - Provides coverage for your motorcycle in the event of fire, theft, collision or vandalism with a $500.00 deductible. You selected this option.

This coverage is available 24/7 and includes battery jumpstart, towing and flat tire towing (up to 35 mi) among other things.

This provides coverage for bodily injuries caused by a negligent motorist (other party is at fault) who has no insurance or not enough liability insurance to pay for the injuries they caused. Actually, to be fair I hadn't realised it included breakdown recovery so that makes a difference.
