Please could I have a rough idea of total expected costs. This is on my tick list and the other half would love to visit the national parks or there.

On the contrary, they're really whetting my appetite, thanx for taking the time to post them.

Taster for Day 12, Beartooth

I only joined the Beartooth from Chief Joseph's Highway so I didn't ride it all but what I did was pretty good ...

The mountain itself looks like a fair old climb :augie

Just got back from a three week trans America trip - New York to Los Angeles - ON A COACH !! The sun shone all the way and the roads were full of bikes, so now the idea of doing the West Coast on the GS has major appeal. Can you send details?

This trip is the one I most want to do. Can you send me more details please. Two up most likely 2015, but maybe next year if trip is not full.

Just booked my flights through the flight centre as recommended by Sgt Bilko. They came up cheaper than booking direct with BA. £1580 for the two of us on a direct flight....beans on toast for dinner for the rest of the year:D

What's the flight centre details spm0912 and I'll give it a look. Was in two minds whether to book now n bite the bullet or wait to see if the price goes down, knowing my luck they'll double in price if I left it! I did however look at virgin Atlantic and they wanted £1250 but with hr n half stopover.

Telephone number for the flight centre is 020 79160600. If you google them I think there's an 0800 no as well.

Yep, you may find cheaper deals, SAS via Copenhagen was the cheapest I could find but do you really want to spend 3 hours sitting round a departure lounge to catch a connection on top of an already long flight? Must admit I was tempted but was overruled by my wife!

BA/Virgin pricing remains fairly constant (so I've been told), you may pickup some very late deals but I prefer to not leave things to chance. Main reason we booked now was so as to spread the cost of the trip over the year. by the time we come to go we'll just need our day to day expenses. You could of course just stick the money in a separate account and pay it all in one go, whatever floats your boat!
