Pacific North West National Parks and Yellowstone.

I've had a look on Google maps, roughly 4,300 miles, 2 countries, 6 states.
I've also had a look at Street View & seen the hotels/towns/scenery.
Not sure I really need to go now. :nenau

Just to whet your appetites this is the main square in Jackson this afternoon

The four arches around the square are made of hundreds of elk antlers. And this is where you will probably end up:

I've been skiing in Jackson hole all this week and tomorrow I'm driving North to West Yellowstone. I can't get anywhere near most of the the roads you'll be riding because they're closed for the winter. You're only allowed into Yellowstone by coach or snowmobile at this time of year. Guess which one I chose!

Thanx for posting. 7 full months to go and I'm already over-excited. At 50 years old you'd think I'd really know better.

Pre Trip Meeting 15th March 2014

We will be having a pre trip meeting on Saturday 15th March 2014 at Adventure Bike Warehouse www.adventurebikewarehouse.co.uk starting at 3pm where I'll do a short presentation and go through all the details of the trip. It's a great opportunity for everyone to meet each other and discuss the finer details of the trip.

I'll be staying up the road at the Henry Boddington pub which has a Premier Inn attached http://www.premierinn.com/en/hotel/MANHEN/manchester-swinton for a couple of beers in the evening so if you want to stop over, please book directly with them.

As always with these meetings, the 3pm slot is for this specific trip but everyone is welcome to pop over if you are interested in either one of my trips to the USA (Alaska and Coast to Coast next year) or one of Skygod's Moroccan jaunts as both me and Gary are happy to chat through anything you need to know!

There are a couple of spots left for this Yellowstone trip and I know there are a few people who are undecided so if you are thinking about it, come along and you will see what it's all about.

I look forward to seeing you all there :beerjug:

Didn't watch any telly but did get the adventure out n headed for Ullapool with uturntony, up past Loch Ness to see if Nessie was in!:clap:topic

Just a couple from my snowmobile trip last week to keep you all keen

y31.jpg

The steam from the geothermal activity shows up well in the winter. And this one which I was very excited by.

Our guide reckons to see five or six wolves a season. He was as excited as we were.
