You guys might be interested to hear its finally cooling down in bc...we've had blistering temperatures for a month, 35-43 deg, now down to a moderate 26-32.... Still lots of smoke about here and Washington from all the fires but not that bad....enjoy the ride..some great stuff coming your way...

Very kind of you, thanks for the update. :thumb2

Had a chat with my cousin James last night who lives near Santa Rosa. He reckoned it got a bit exciting at 3.00am when the shaking started........:D He assures me that it didn't spill my beer he has ready in the fridge..............

Peter - has that Spot Gen of yours still got some battery life in it? Are the bikes off the ship and in transit to SR?:thumb2

The container is off the ship and is going through US customs as we speak. It can't get delivered until I am there because I have to unload it in Santa Rosa. It's scheduled for next Thursday but will more likely be Tuesday morning so I can avoid any storage charges.:thumb2

I leave Friday.
Packed - jeez that Corbin seat takes up some room - most of my big bag gone, just bought a massive Lomo bag to get my riding gear in...! The Klim gear doesn't fold well with armour.

I seem to have 2 big bags not the small 1 I planned :blast Once the seats are swapped I am hoping I can leave 1 safe somewhere :green gri

2 more sleeps but I cannot wait to go!!
Meet my mate in Reno on Sunday- then Yosemite and a bit of the coast..
Two days in the city and then scoot...
I tell you what - hotels are not cheap in San Francisco!! "jeepers" :)

we have 2 lomo 40 litre bags over there but might not need to use both but will tote the spare one with us.
i took the armour ( back protecror) out of my Klim and packed it separate.

have a good one and see you on the other side of the pond.

To be honest - my standard bag is full of seat :) - The 150L is not half full with clothes (troos, jacket, boots and helmet)... The rest is hand luggage, electronics etc...

The container has cleared customs and is ready for delivery on Tuesday 2nd September :bounce1. You have no idea how relieved I am after a bit of a hiccup last year :augie. I have to say I'm getting good at this now:clap

Anyway, I'm flying out on Sunday and will unload the bikes on Tuesday, get them started and running nicely ready for everyones arrival at the weekend.
