i got sixteen and a half thousand out of my first set of tyres and im almost at twenty six thou and still on original pads...looks like theres plenty left.... you guys need to get in touch with your smooth sensitive side!
Just approaching 7K. Had the original Anakee's changed at the 6K service, more because I didn't like them than that they were worn. The pads are still like new. The service guy at the dealers told me that the servo/abs bikes were fitted with a harder pad so they should, in theory last longer. Don't know if this is true!
4.5K miles and the OE Trailwings are shagged and the rear pads are nearly worn out. The front pads were replaced with the discs at 3K miles because of a warped disc.

Ditto my rear Trailwing, but at 6k. Be glad to get rid of it as I've had a nervous winter's riding. Pads still there, will get me well past the 12k mark I think.
I think it is an issue of organic vs. sintered pad material. Some part fiches are listing the organic pads when sintered are specs for integral ABS. A lot less dust on my wheel since I swapped at 6K
