Hi Guys n' Gals,

I've got the alu panniers and the alu top-box for my bike and CrazyCaz is waiting for the alu panniers to be delivered.

For convenience I'd like to get some inner bags / liners for them. The BMW ones seem OK. Quality is good, I assume, and they're waterproof. Other than that they're quite spartan. And obviously they have quite a heavy "brand-tax" :augie

However, the ones that have caught my eyes are the ones offered by 'fulcran65' on eBay. For the top box and the panniers. They seem well made, reasonably priced and much more practical than the BMW ones, but they're not waterproof. Which isn't such a bother as the panniers/box in themselves are waterproof (or that's what they say).

What else is out there? What's your recommendations?

My requirement is primarily that I want to be able to pack the bags in the comfort of my house and then drop the bags into the boxes. Upon arrival I'd like to pull the bags out, stick the lid etc into the boxes and leave the bike without too much hassle. I'm not planning a round-the-world-trip, but I am planning long trips, so roadside repairs are secondary to ease of use.

Thanks! :beerjug:

Not sure how they compare price was but try some stalhkoffer innner bags.

I have them for my set of panniers and they are great! I think they are around 70 quid for a pair!

hope that helps :)

inners

I bought two pannier liners

They are just liners with a simple non-adjustable shoulder strap which suited my needs

Sizing and colour is set at order time. Delivery was pretty quick

I have not tested the waterproof claim as they live in ARDCase boxes

Mane Event - Bought a full set a couple of years ago, well made, perfect fit. no problems whatsoever. :)

Thanks guys! I found the mane event ones, must have a look at the stalhkoffer ones! Brilliant!

I've been using these for a couple of months and have no issues

Think it was a recommendation from here

Thanks for that! The picture is quite bad, so it's hard to tell what features they have. Did you order 2 of the same pannier size and 1 of the top box or what did you do? Price is defintely right! :thumb2

I have a pair for my Stahlkoffers - they're made-to-measure to your pannier measurements, with just an adjustable shoulder strap, nothing fancy. I don't know if they could cope with "chamfered" pannier corners, mine are just rectangular.

Their main business is making covers and bags for caravanners to carry stuff around in, and they are quick!

Have the fulcran ones for my varios havent used them yet but look ok and a super fit for the boxes ,are also zipped at both sides

Interesting! Thanks! What was the cost? (haven't looked at the other thread as I have to dash to the train - if it's there ignore the question and I'll have a look when I get time).
Those look nice! :)
