Pannier Re-Coding

I have to re-code a pair of vario panniers for a different key. Does anyone have any spare inserts or know how much they are?

Just wait a while, if you know which ones you need somebody on here will likely give you some for nowt. I was lucky with mine i just had too re-arrange em and hey presto !!

Odds are if you buy 1 new kit. The leftovers, mixed with your existing lock barrels will give you what you need to code both locks

Iirc the lock repair kit from motorworks comes with loads of spare wafers or ask your local BMW parts counter for some. Quite often have them available

You need 6 tumblers and a locking tab for a new barrel.

Needed to recode my s/hand panniers in a hurry a few days before a holiday.
I ended up setting a few tumblers and filling the rest smooth with the lock body. OK its not super secure but how many people pick pannier locks or try numerous keys to open the boxes.

Right, taken them apart and I need two leaves per side. It locks fine without them but for piece of mind one of the kind residents of this Parish has offered to swap them for me. All's well that ends well
