Does anyone know of panniers that I can fit a helmet in? I am pissed of with top box and carrying my pi@@ pot!! If youve got spare ones wouldnt mind knowing the cost!!

I doubt you'd get a full face into most panniers of manageable size.

I've got 11" wide Verns and my Shoei Hornet doesn't fit. The panniers are just 1/2" wider than the bars and Verns frames are nice and close to the seat - I wouldn't want panniers any wider...

The standard BMW systems panniers will fit a lid in them, that’s the only thing I miss about them now I've swapped to ally boxes.

What helmet do you have?? Ive got system placky ones and they dont take a helmet!!

Ard Cases / redcap

If you look up Redcap on here, you'll find Roger.
He makes panniers to order. I recently got a pair slightly larger than standard to take a helmet.
They're slightly wider than the handlebars but not much.
Good guy, great cases.

I have the ally adventure panniers and my system 6 helmet fits in nicely.

1200 GSA Panniers

with Holan Frames. Does the trick for me, and they're really easy to take off , with the single key system.

get yourself a "lidsafe". Takes an extra minute to two before you leave the bike but means you don't have to carry the helmet. I wanted panniers to fit a lid in also, but decided to get thinner panniers and just use my lidsafe.

Standard vario topbox takes a system 5 helmet - as does the expanded right side pannier :thumb2

Now there's an idea: Carry a 1200GS Vario topbox in the pannier of an 1150GS for putting a helmet in.

:eek

Really?

That surprises me...

My large Metal Mule panniers are the same width as the bars (maybe a fraction under) and will fit a full face helmet - but only just. If you have a big vent on the top then it probably wouldn't fit.

There's not much in it, but it won't go past the returned flange on the top where the lid seal sits. A flip front or even a different FF might sneak in, but not my Shoei. Not that I'm bothered - the panniers only go on for trips and they're full of other stuff then :)
