Hi All
A pal of mine organises this event every year, this year it’s open to bikes of all years.
The pumping station will be in steam each day. It really is an amazing location. There is a cafe on site, bikes to look at….what’s not to like.
I’m taking a few of my airheads along, hence special Airhed parking.lol.

Papplewick pumping station is holding a motorcycle day on the 25th and 26th August. The event is open to all motorcycles from any era. Anyone wishing to display their bike should contact [email protected] for an entry form which must be completed prior to the event.
Pre registered bikes will have free entry for the rider on both days. There is also a turn up and pay option; this will be charged at £5.00 for the rider. In both cases pillions will be charged at the normal entry fee.
Bikes that are registered can be left in secure storage on site on the evening of the 25th August, please make a note on your entry form if you want to park your bike over night.
Upon entry please park your bike in the spaces marked by decade for your bike; A 1996 bike will be parked in the 90s spaces etc.
BMW Airheads will have a dedicated space at the top of the drive. Please look out for the sign.

Lovely looking bikes…… the middle one is my favourite
Which do you prefer to ride?

I nearly turned up this morning, but fortunately re-read this thread. :augie

What time does it start?

A few checks before tomorrow and the left float bowl decided to leak. Sigh. Its had new floats, valves and has rubber gaskets, so no excuse. Apart from the BMW badge

Then again, I swapped the fuel lines last week....

If you see someone with a small hammer making tunes on a Bing carburretor on a blue RT tomorrow, its me

We even have a gazebo

I din't arrive until about 1pm (after float bowl off a couple times and a trip back to fetch fuel) and it was starting to get quiet. Some interesting non BMWs there - An ST1100 Honda and the track bike next to it were definitely different. I've not seen tyres scrubbed that hard before o_O Only on powerful cars.

I might take my other bike tomorrow morning. I bet there won't be another of those there :sneaky:

I think I was just leaving when you arrived. Sorry I missed you.

It was a good day out, thanks for the heads up, I led a ride out of a few bikes from the Northants Honda Owners Club, we will certainly go along next year

How did you get away for 1pm.
I had arranged to take the airhead , contacted the organisers but did not go as I was informed that we had to remain on site until 3pm.
