Any one know of a nice hotel either nr CDG airport or in the centre nr the Blackpool tower?

Good enough for Mrs Boundless, even:-

£700 night

Even if I could afford it I woudn't pay that!

I was thinking more along the lines of somewhere nice and clean with a pool that would suit me and my lad for a couple of nights.

Too Late??

Sorry if this is too late.

Me and her stayed in one called Hotel California a while back!

Excellent then and just off the Champs Elysee close to (walking distance) all the main tourist places.

Ended up in the suite and wondered where the bedroom was. "Upstairs" said the bellboy!

Wasn't a lot either from memory.

Be sure to book a show (Lido) and have the meal. The food was rubbish but you get a good seat and waitress service too.

Skip.

Thanks, booked one now.
Went for the Paris Novatel on the banks of the river a few hundred yards from the tower. Says its 4 star and just been refurbished so hopefully it'll be ok and anyway only there for 2 nights.

any chance of a report when you return, going to Paris in Oct. again just 2 of us for a few days.:thumb2

Will do.
Prices not too bad at all, got a 4* in Amsterdam for £169 for 3 nights and Paris 4* for £249 for 2 nights but as I said that one is just yards from the trifle tower and on the river. Both have swimming pools which is handy when taking the lad.

Stayed at the Paris Tour Eiffel for 2 nights.
Cost £249.
Location - 300 yards or so from the Eiffel Tower on the river, ideal for sight seeing, with river bus pick up and metro with in 300 yards.
32 storey tower block oppersite the Radio France building and the Statue of Liberty.
The lobby was very large and all marble and shiney but the rooms weren't quite as good as expected.
Good breakfast in the choice of 3 cafes including Japanese.
Evening meals not really for me with a young lad, quite expensive so we walked less than 5 minutes to streets full of every kind of place you could want.
Hotel had a pool but I wasn't impressed that they charged an extra 7e for a swim.
Taxi to CDG airport 42e.
