Brought myself a ali top box the other day, all went well, Sharon and Ben are great.
When I went to fit the key barrels the pins fell out of one of them so i had to pop back down to battersea on friday 5.30 ish, the bloke in the service area was the type of person i thought they were trying to get rid of. He had an excuse every time I asked for help to re code the barrel for me. He wouldn't even get out of his chair to just check if some one could help. Then in came Ben and saved the day for me. A top bloke.
BM need more staff like Ben and Sharon.

My own dealings with certain staff in the Service Department have not been good! My bike was damaged whilst in with them and even though there is a paper trail - they are not tkaing any responsibility at all!

I too thought they were trying to sort their act out...but really they need to lose the deadwood before they can get the quality service together.

Have been speaking to another BMW dealer who has picked up a lot of disgruntled park lane customers - cock ups and damage are par for the course.

A shame when it sounds like some of the staff are good. The character in the chair wasnt the service manager by any chance? would be useful to know...

Yes, Sharon in parts appears to be about the only person there who works. I wouldn't trust their service department with anything more complex than a pencil sharpener though after the issues I've had with them and their incompetence which is why Vines in Guildford currently get my work. That said, when the warantee is up I'll probably mix between DIY and Steptoe.
