I had my first major work done on my GS yesterday, at took it to PARK LANE as I have always had Dean Buck service my bikes for years now.
Dean has taken over as SERVICE MANAGER , I also have called on DEAN support at the HOGRAOST 2007 as he did with S.P.C in 2006
I was a bit suprised as Dean does the overseaing and doesn`t get his hand that dirty, he said he would not be personally servicing the bike.
I was given a NEW 07 GS 1200 to ride home, my bike needed a NEW CLUTCH, rear disc and general overhaul, with a bill grand comming it was almost time to trade the thing in.
Anyway I picked the bike up at 6.00 pm after a call at 4pm to say its ready, I always like to thank the person that does the work and I found JOE MARTIN working away at his bench.
Joe took time out to explain all the parts replaced and showed me the old bits, a surgical workshop with others that do seem to really enjoy their jobs.
Dean was in a meeting so we didn`t TOUCH BASE (a LONDON saying) , all I can say it was a nice experiance, even my credit card worked in there normally packs up in bike shops.
So not to suck up to much, it was a very well run place really busy on both sides cars and bikes.
With guys asking and making sure I`m O.K not knowing that I would report to you lot, so busy dealers can pull it off.
Just finding the place was a nightmare for this country boy, I have suggested they advitise the GPS cordinates on their webside as I spent 2 hours trying to find the place and I was only 500 yards away at one stage.
Straight there on returning the 1200, waypointed.
