Howdo folks,

If anyone has this months BiKE mag they`ve done quite an interesting article on part throttle power and torque rather than full. On the graphs it shows a marked differnce in power & torque between an `06 & `08 ZZR1400 at 40% throttle. That got me thinking of what difference exhausts and or headers would make to this as the times I use full throttle are fewer than I`d like to think :D
Have I killed my bikes "midrange" with a remus end can? Should I put the standard one back on & stop being a fashion victim? Get some remus headers or smash the cat out to free much more power?
I`d like to see the real gains of cans rather than an extra 2 bhp up when I reach it every now & again.

Anyway, I`m off to work now :(

Yep, Id be interested to see as well, look forward to seeing the results of your bikes dyno tests after you've tried all the different variations. :thumb2

This was the area that I was most interested in when Dynojet used my GS as a testbed for their Powercommander. They got me a 10% improvement in performance at a 40% throttle opening & that translated into much better throttle response

No problem, if everyone would send me the different variations in exhausts I`ll do it :D

Good stuff Paul :thumb2 Did you try any variations of exhaust setup with the PC? Before/ after etc?

'fraid not... I've had a y-piece & Remus race can fitted for years, also got R1100S Boxercup inlet tubes & a K&N filter fitted - all to help the breathing.

I've just added to another thread on the site, about changing to twinspark c/heads, & I've got another little project in mind, to twinplug my single spark & give it a bit more oomph with different cams & different exhaust headers...
