Partly Integrated ABS – Help!!!

Having searched the site, I can’t find the answer I need so I’m hoping one of you guys can perhaps assist?

When I was coming back from Romania this year I lost my ABS intermittently.

It seemed to be from the front wheel sensor lead, so I have duly replaced the lead and sensor, but I cannot get the ABS to clear its fault light?

My brakes work fine – as non-ABS, so I have no reduction in braking just no anti skid?

On the dash, the ABS light is flashing, and the hazard triangle light is permanently on underneath it.

I have checked the brake light, fluid levels, front brake lever and the switch on the rear brake foot lever – and all seem fine.

Your help on this would be much appreciated

Cheers

Paul

Hi Paul type in ABS reset in the search this forum and try that it worked for me i am sure somone will be along in a minute who knows exactily how to solve your problem:thumb2

Done that!

I have already tried to search the site and cannot tell if I have to take the bike to the dealer to rest the brakes or if I can do it?

Will the triangle light only go out after the ABS has been reset?

Flashing

what frequency are the lights flashing as depending what there doing will tell you whats wrong ?

when you switch on, it looks like 6 or maybe 7 very fast flashes, then it settles down into its normal rhythm.

Any ideas?

Go get the codes checked There is no point second guessing these bastards as they will have you off in a second if they fcuk up the wrong way

Has anyone in this fellas area got a GS911 to read the codes for him??

Should extinguish if the fault is no longer present
