I had a ride out last weekend on the following lanes, Youtube video for an idea of the type of lanes.
The GPX is attached for this route, happy to go along if anyone fancies doing this route sometime. Houndkirk road is great fun !
Standard disclaimer applies, reasonable tyres needed and the Gopro can flatten the landscape slightly making it appear a bit easier.

In theory yes if it's dry, three elements worth considering, others may have many more thoughts and recommendations ;That looks absolutely hellfireok for complete novices weather dependant?
Brilliant tips. I suppose picking up the bike is the most important and underpins all of the aboveIn theory yes if it's dry, three elements worth considering, others may have many more thoughts and recommendations ;
- Tyres, I prefer having something 50/50 orientated or even more regardless of weather, I'm sure a skilled rider could cope quite well on stock tyres but I like the confidence some knobbly tyres give me such as AX41's, Karoo4's, Mitas XT's etc...
- Technique, A small amount of technique helps massively, some learn as they do, some get some training. Balance is key especially on a bigger bike. I spent some time with the Triumph Adventure Centre but lots of people just get started.
- Bike, Are you prepared to drop it (and pick it up ?)

I mentioned that I did the Rallymoto Icebreaker navigational challenge recently a couple of weekends ago. Here is a video of some of the lanes on the route to get an idea of it. It was a lovely day out, with some lanes I knew, and some that I hadn't been on before.
Some earlier notice to allow me to book a days leave for the next one pleaseThetford Forest Icebreaker tomorrow, anyone fancy an early start
