I sprayed petrol over my screen and hosed it off with water in the garage but it has turned parts of it cloudy. I then tried to clean it off with paint renovator which ended up micro scratching the screen:blast.
I remember talking to a GS'er who had an really clean bike and he was telling me of a couple of products that he swore by. One was for cleaning stainless and the other was cleaning plastic, including the screen. He told be it will even remove small scratches. Does anyone know what this stuff is called?

Plexus works nicely but don't know if it will clear the kind of marks left by petrol. Plexus seems to remove small scratches and blotches and I have always used it.

Hi
tooth paste is a good and soft polishing material. you need to do it manually and patiently.
Good luck

Thats the gear, Just ordered some, thanks.

New screen ........... did this myself and nothing worked effectively. You might lessen the cloudiness but it's still not "right".

Mine cleared 95% by itself, I think the petrol comes back out of it. If you can live with 95% - no prob. It would have to be rough to make it worth changing here, but a new screen is a delight.
+1 for Plexus, got some from Nippy Norman.

Solvol Autosol, Brasso, or a 3M cream called finesse-it

These are commonly used in the aircraft industry to remove light scratches and stains from Plexiglas aircraft windows and canopies.

Also use two micro-fibre cloths. One to apply the polish, and another to polish off :thumb2
