hi to all we have planned a trip to french alps in july does anybody know if you can find petrol stations and plot them onto a mapsource route,just one of the lads has change his 1200 gs for an hp and petrol could be an issue,cheers

Yes you can

Might be easier to plot the route in auroroute, then do a "find" within 1/2 a mile of the route, then make them as waypoints = favorites. Then if you're getting a bit low and they have a zumo, they can ask for waypoints nearest to the route. Or just ask for the nearest fuel stations

BTW just because it exists in Mapsource / Autoroute doesn't mean it's open / there

No problem...do it every time I go touring.

Pre plan the route on the PC and set the stops as interim waypoints. (Helps to keep the Zumo from rerouting you along a different road when you import as well )

Even so the POI data seems woefully out of date, around here there are petrol stations in the mapping that haven't been in business for three years.
