Ive got a 1150 .... but it dont go in reverse at all :nenau :blast

4 litres according to specs.

But I think there must be about 6 litres left when the light starts to show problems. You can ride almost 100 km with it. But better to fill it up earlier anyway.

thanks boys just puts me mind at rest.:thumb

2 lts, so im told,

but i have rode a further 20 miles past the light coming on. i dont think i would want to try further, as they is a heavy bike to push:judge

I got 60kms out of mine on holiday - bit nerve racking though ! I think it is 4 litres (99 1100 GS) The sure way to find out is strap a can of petrol on the back and run the tank dry (keep meaning to do this )

it's not easy to run them completely dry... cause even when you think you've run completely out of fuel - lay the bike down on its RHS and voila you have fuel again. Not sure exactly how much... sure i've read 10 miles (and still not run out)

60kms is about 40 miles, so i think you were right on the edge if its 4lts? impressed:) i would have to rest me right hand somewhere else if i wanted to get that
