Photoshop help

Anyone any good with PS?

I have some logos etc that need the background removed and then the remaining image made opaque. Very easy for someone with PS experiance I would think but not for me..

The logos are for a kids football team website that I've put together.

Depends on the quality of the logos. Could be easier to retrace as a vector graphic (May be able to help). Could you attach the files to the post. I cannot open my personal email at work.

Do you have Photoshop - either Elements, or the full version? If the logo is a regular shape/colour, it's fairly easy with both.

Or are you looking for someone else to do it for you? If latter might be able to help (although I'll be away until Friday)...

I've got Photoshop. I can remove the background but that still leves the logo with a frame. I'm trying to get the logo to 'float' on it's own, so you'll see the background through it.

Spikehammer.

Open both pic's in ps, use the magic wand to sectect all the white in the logo, (to do this you click on the 1st white section press and hold either the CTRL or Shift button not sure which one, and a small "+" will appear next to the wand, then click on all the others white bits)

Then you click "edit", then "copy". Now go to your other pic, open a new layer and paste your logo onto the new layer. Right click on the logo and click on "Free transform" you can then resize it to suit.

This should get rid of the frame that is getting in your way. If it dosn't work for you pm me your email and I'll have a go at it tonight when I get home. (Thats after I've eaten too many pancakes.)

So is the large white circle where you want it to stop. Obviously you won't be able to use it on a white background as the large circle will be "lost". Let me know and I could have a go this afternoon.

With which software are you going to use the logo. For example if you use it with Powerpoint or Word you can get rid of the background with just one click. See attached file

If you really need retraced as a vector, I could do that next week end for you, I would use CorelDraw and then save it as whatever format you want, png, jpeg, emf ect.

i redrew it in Illustrator for you.

this means its now a vector logo. you can change the size without effecting quality. you can also change the colour too
