I have had a good search through the forum but have been unable to find any detail for my question, hopefully one of you wise GSers can help?

I have fitted a set of auxiliary lights to my 2006 GSA on a migsel bar and have taken a feed from the dipped beam. The lights work fine when permanently on with the engine running but unfortunately I cannot get my PIAA switch to operate them so I can turn them on and off at will.

The switch has a three core loom with red, white and black cables. Could any of you guys please advise how they should be connected?

Thanks in advance. :)

i connect up the relay feed wire from the side light and use a handle bar switch, lights work soon as ignition is on then and independent to the canbus.

Cheers for that George.

That is the way I had it connected already and although the red/green LED on the switch works it still doesnt operate the lights.

Touching the dipped headlight feed straight to pin 85 on the relay operates the aux lights instantly so the wiring for the lights is sound, just this infernal switch!!!!

Any help or advice gladly appreciated :blast

Have you connected the earth wire on the PIAA switch to a proper earth...like back to the battery -ve, or used a bit of metal that you think is earth but might not be.....just a thought.

All properly connected up now with crimped/soldered connections, earthed to the battery -ve terminal but still the same, switch LED operates but not the lights.

Tried a cheap old handlebar kill switch that I had lying around and it switches the aux lights on and off perfectly!!!

Someone here must have the solution, please put me out of my misery guys! :nenau
