Picked up my 1200GS SE today. Only done a 120 miles but impressed. This is my 3rd 1200GS and the quality of the bike seems to be better than the 07 I traded in, which was better than my first GS an 05.
Gearbox and engine are sweeter than the 07 and I expect they will get better after a few thousand miles. ESA and tyre sensors are a plus.
Got to be the best 1200GS yet :)

looking good!

that looks great -

I've read somewhere that the screen is slightly taller than the standard one - did you notice any improvement or is it just the same one but tinted?

Also wondered what you thought of the seat -

I'm due to pick one up next week.:thumb

The screen is the standard GS size and adaquate but nowhere as good (for me) as the Givi screen I fitted to my 07. It's a pity the SE doesn't come with the GSA screen IMHO. The GSA seat on the SE is also OK but I have used a Baehr seat on my last two GSes and I have got used to that. I will be changing the seat and screen .
That said, it's all subjective and I'm sure you will be pleased with your SE when you collect it next week :beerjug:

I didn't think it was any taller - shame. I'm considering getting the GSA screen for the winter and will use my Flowjet for the summer.

As for the soft end I've got a Sargent to keep me smiling :D

enjoy your new bike

With the exception that my first one was a December '04 bike.....snap! I can only agree with all of that.

I've only got 500 miles on my new one and from the outset it was obvious that the engine was very tight. It'll be interesting to see how it goes when it's fully run in an I fit my Remus headers as well as the can which I've already fitted, fitted the Power Commander and had it mapped on the dyno. If it goes as well as my '07 bike did with just the full Remus system, I'll be happy. I don't think that my gearbox is much, if any, better than on my '07.

However.....I don't think this new one handles and holds the road as well as my '07 which on Dunlop D607s and with the rear preload almost on max was completely planted. Maybe a set of Dunlops, rather than the current Trail Attacks and setting the ESA to two-up will improve things......:nenau

lucky bastid Andy.:clap:clap:clap:clap

1200 SE

:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:Motomartin

I collected mine on last Saturday. This is also my third one.....an 05 1150 followed by an 06 1200 and i have to agree, this one seems to be better.
Still experimenting with screen position, and have not done a long enough journey on the saddle to comment really, but i like the look of the TT single seat job so if i have some spare cash might give that a whirl. Has any one tried one / got one?

Other than that, love the looks,( i put the adv fogs on....looks really cool!!) like the exclusivity ( at the moment anyway). Dont suppose i will like cleaning the wire wheells tho!!

sweet looking bike enjoy:beerjug:

when me and vader were down at SLM they had one just deliverd in the crate , we stood there and watched them open it:drool:drool
