Picking up next weekend. Should I be worried?

Picked mine up today after 12 mths without a GS.
After doing 50K miles on a couple of 1200's I was very much looking forward to today to see how quickly the old Bavarian magic returned and I'm very happy to say it was within 50 miles. Absolute blast and that's taking it easy letting everything scrub in (incl me).
So it was only 3 days ago I learnt about the the 2014 models getting a steering dampener. And I started reading around a bit more about problems some folks have had. Not a great couple of days leading up to paying the balance and riding off with is supposed to be your pride and joy. It's a lot of money after all.
BUT, the bike is a peach. Maybe it'll loosen up some, but apart from a notchy first gear the gearbox is pretty good and neutral is no problem. The Anakees aren't as bad as I expected for a non 100% road tyre and I was happy to be bend swinging again like a goodun by the end of the day.
If my experience is anything to go by you have nothing to worry about, apart from the grin that will start hurting after a few hours
