8am and Potes is deserted. It wasn't last night as two people in the room above me clattered in a 2:30am! Wooden floors.

Yesterday's photos of beautiful Potes looked very quiet.
I assume, looking at the above photo that you're staying here?

We enjoyed our stay there and it's a great location in the village. Have you looked into the well in the breakfast room?

Correct!
Your photo of the bikes makes the road look level but it isn't as you know.

Pier one in Plymouth is a great cafe to stop at before boarding the boat, with free motorcycle parking bay for up-to 8-9 bikes just a short 1 minute walk away.
Food not cheap but of good quality, fresh and well presented.

A good way to start a trip a couple of hours before boarding the boat, which in it self only 5 minute ride away.

Here we (Arsey, SteveC10, Stevie06, Astrro and I) are queuing to board a boat, which was fairly effortless and swift, crew on board only letting 10-20 bikes to go to the bottom deck. Which meant everyone had time to park their bikes, strap them down, get their kit and over night bag sorted and vacate the deck before next selection of biker mates get down there.

Got into our cabin for the duration and of the crossing, Brit Ferries could do with five windows a good scrubbing, the view out, was like looking into kaleidoscope…

Quick change in of clothes and few pints were had at the bar… serious conversation happening here, please do not disturb.

Meanwhile, one must addiere to the way Brits do thing and join a queue to book a table for five at the restaurant. As queuing at the self service buffet with the fellow 2000 travellers did not appeal to pissed up party…

Diner was served at 6:30, good food, two bottles of red between the four of was, as one of the party does not engage in the drinking shenanigans.

Then a quick walk around a top deck before heading for one more drink and crossing into bed for the night.
This gannet kept up with the boat since leaving Plymouth. Naturally that is being assumed that it is indeed same gannet we kept seeing out the window earlier on into the sailing.

Sleep was tough, as I personally ate and drank much later than I normally would.
Spent half an hour watching the latest episode of The Grand Tour, but had to park that idea once eyelid started to droop…
Plenty of tossing and turning throughout the night, trying to get comfortable. Broken sleep, but overall it was fine. Crossing has so far been very smooth. A few dolphins have been spotted. Currently we are around an hour away from Santander, but I doubt we will be going down to the bikes for at least an hour an a half. The decks above the bikes, will need to be cleared fist as it is far to stuffy down there, to hang around for any period of time.

The weather upon arrival to Santander looking to be a tad soggy. So another reason to be going down bellow, some 40 minutes after arrival to port.

Our approximate route is highlighted in red.

To be continued…
