As I’ve just got my new whip, I thought I’d take a mate out for a spin….

We were out there a few weeks before this tour and covered many of the roads we also stayed at the del oso and thought it was excellent with the staff being brilliant
One of the best tours we have done and a must return to destination
Sorry one “character” took the edge off I do hope it won’t affect hotel attitude to bikers!
You all sound like you had a great trip thanks for posting

And there was one .
That’s Ev and Astrro heading off to St Malo

Astrro and I, have made the boat.
8 hours of bobbing about at sea then dock at Portsmouth around 1830 Rennes to St. Malo along the dual carriage way is only one hour away. Highly recommended to stay in Rennes for the night if you are planing on catching 1030 boat out to Portsmouth.

With a great view up front, whilst sat in the self service restaurant.

Rennes, is beautiful, with great old architecture, if a bit seedy after 1900, when ladies of the night start coming out, and their snuff distributing chaperones . Weirdly one of the bars that we sat at last night, had shut for the day with plenty of punters still enjoying their drinks (including us) at the adjacent bars surrounding the square at 1930. I wonder if it has had much to do with the change of “shifts” at the square.

It has been a great trip, having met up again with Astrro, after our Italian trip together back in 2016. Which weirdly enough had started as a pose of four, but ended up being just the two of us, that is when the holiday really had started.

Skid06 is a top bloke, certainly I am more than happy to call him a mate now for life, what a guy!
IMG_8890.jpeg

Stevie4scoops has been a top guy too, you should’ve come along with us via France…

Arsey, for those who know him and now have met with him in person, will vouch for what I’ve been saying for a number of years, ever since our first meet up in the French Alps back in 2019. He’s been a great mate, who’s got a great sense of humour and a wicked character. He is oftentimes being misunderstood, on the merit (most likely) of his forum name. Which if you knew the story behind it, you’d soon think differently.

Thank you mate for organising this cracking trip, the hotels, the routes, the logistics with avoiding the weather, and just for being there for all of us to enjoy your company. Till next time you old tosser!

Will post a short update when we land on the other side of the ditch…

Thanks EV, you've summed it all up very well.

I've had a fantastic time and wish I hadn't booked the ferry back from Santander or I would have joined your ride up through France.

I consider you all great friends now and can't wait for the next adventure.

Looking forward to meeting up soon.

I'm on the 1800 ferry from Santander so off for a ride around and to find four scoops of yummy icecream 😊

Take care and please come to Churchdown soon.

Fabulous solo ride through the Normandy back roads towards Cherbourg for my ferry.
After yesterday’s heat the temperature was around 21 degs c, the Wing purring and then this playing on my playlist

Pretty much perfect .

Been a good read following your travels Gents, thanks very much (y). Would love to do something similar, best get planning..

safe journey(s) home

Checked in at Cherbourg for my ferry home .
Done 1640 miles since I left home , averaging 54.3 mpg . Not bad for the 1800cc beastie .
Great trip with some amazing roads/views and great food .
The bike was perfect .
Only 15 minutes of rain all week due to some judicious juggling of days out .
It was great to make new friends out of names on the forum .

I’ll be swapping one Wing for two on Thursday .

Oh well . Wish I was back flying here

Thanks for coming , boys
