I've literally just come off the phone to my ins broker. They're sending them a duplicate certificate. Policy comes in at £215.

Rev it,

Manual for old engine....was up to 4000rpm for first 600 miles

New twin cam engine...

Try to do most of your riding during this initial period on twisting, fairly hilly roads.Comply with the rpm limits for running in.
Running-in speeds
<5500 min-1 (Odometer
reading 0...200 km)
<6500 min-1 (Odometer
reading 200...400 km)
Running-in speeds
<7500 min-1 (Odometer
reading 400...600 km)
maximum engine rpm for
short bursts (Odometer read-
ing 600...900 km)
Do not omit the first inspection
after 500 - 1200 km.

SIMPLES!

So you DO rev it harder, not many hills near my dealership though...

Pick mine up Sat, thrash thrash :ronno

There is a thread on this (running in or something like that...), but while we're here, spoke with the bike mechanic at work today (he is a fully fledged BM approved bloke, 30 years + in the trade, ex Ducati chief mechanic etc etc) and ran the whole thrash it from the start thing past him. He totally agreed!! :bounce1. 'Don't dawdle about on it' he said, 'you'll do it far more good if you ride it normally' .... :thumb2

You telling me you havent given it some when your headers are already blue :augie

Any way congrats on the new bike and many happy miles. Shame its not red though as they are faster :thumb

Delivered mine to dealer by hand on Monday after changing from old GSA, extra 45 squid including £20 admin from BMW. Told them that if they lost it I'd not be happy, then they tell me that BMW (NIG) could have e-mailed it.

Anyway new satnav, HID's, bling and more bling:drool
