Fitted new PR4's and I am actually very impressed by the change I can feel with the bike - its night and day different to the Anakee 3's it had on before.

I noticed when I picked up my '14 bike which came with the Anakee's how the bikes suspension felt harder than that of my older 13 GS which had conti's on.
I couldn't find the thread to put all this on, but I remembered some of you were really wound up with the harder suspension and I wondered if your bikes had the Anakee 3's on them too?

Anyway, not only have these PR4's made the bike feel much softer too, which I like, but the grip is actually pretty amazing too.

Lastly, the whistling / humming sound has now gone as I suspected it would, and the tyres are quiet compared to the Anakee's.

So, benefits for me all round. If you are thinking of changing to them, do it! You will never know otherwise!

My September 2013 came fitted with annakee 3 ,terrible tyres, felt they lacked grip, i have fitted Pilot road 4 also ,as you say it makes the bike feel different, the grip is good and inspires confidence even in the rain, would not think they would be any use off road but don't really do that , will replace them with the same.

the price difference between anakee 3 and pr4 appears to be about £70 for a pair. May I ask what the going rate is for pr4s?

Can the PR4 not do ANY offroad? I like to do gravel tracks, fields, and gnarly B and white roads on mine. Would they be any good? I don't really want to fall off.

I have been on Tourance's for the past ten years on my various 1150 Adventures. This year I changed to PR4's and cant get over the difference they make to my bike.

Agree with marcopopolo, anakee are good tyres, but the noise and yes.... they have a hard carcase.

How many miles are you getting from them? I have to change the rear one in 500 miles aprox (6.7k already) and I am not sure what to do with the front one. I'm planning a trip of 1k during bank holidays.

95 for rear and 80 for a front from tyreleader.Co.uk

It was noticable how stiff the shoulder was on the anakee vs the pr4. I have no intention of anything other than road riding so I don't want a 50/50 tyre like an anakee. remap next!

Over the last few years I've used Tourance, next, EXP, TKC's, Anekee 3, PR3 and now on PR4. I hated the Anakee 3s from the moment I left the tyre fitters, noisy, slow steering, vague, lost all confidence in them after loosing grip on some damp corners. Fit a set of PR 4's and I guarantee you won't go back anakees.:rob

I have just got a set of anakee 3 for the 800 anyone tried them on this bike the oem pirelli scorpions are terrible

I fitted PR4 Trails to improve wet weather grip over the Conti Trail Attack 2's my bike came with and I'm not totally happy with the change.

The steering is slower and it requires much more counter steering on twisty roads to keep it on line when making progress. They're also harsher and noisier.

I may try some Conti Road Attacks next

I've noticed a huge difference in my new 2014 model GS, my 2013 last had PR4s on and were brilliant, but my new bike has Anakee 3s on. Very noticeable how harsh the suspension seems with these, noisy? don't know, I wear plugs.

Will be changing them prior to my holiday trip in August .

I really feel like fitting some PR4's just to improve the poor ride quality of my late 2013 bike but I have heard reports that they puncture quite easy and certainly easier than the Anakee 3's

Any feedback re punctures and PR4's

I had a bad run of punctures on my old bike with PR4s but that was probably just my bad luck although there is some feeling that the "sypes" or whatever they are called do hoover up all sorts of metal !

Any way despite that I have a set on order as i can wait no longer to get rid of the Anakee 3s so if any one wants a set of Annakees with 4k on them come and get them after next friday !

GS LC tyres sizes needed

I know I should know this off the top of my head but I don't. Can someone tell me what size tyres I need front and rear for GS LC.

Just been quoted £290 to supply and fit PR4 trail by my dealer. I do fully understand that my dealer has overheads but from what is being quoted here it seems a bit steep. Hence I would like to check prices but cannot remember sizes.

Many thanks

Dario
