I've just found a couple from my recent trip to Picos de Europa.

In my opinion (now that I'm wearing some) they weren't lying.
I found the PR4's caused the back end to wiggle when in a straight line at 70 mph when they were new. This happened on two rear tyres. The wiggle went away after about 200 miles but my other concern with the PR4's was they felt mushy when pushed. Also, the profile of the rear tyre stopped me getting near to the edge of the tyre. I'd have to remove the pegs and pipe to get to the edge of tyre therefore they squared off quite quickly. Oh, feathering on the rear tyre was quite serious after a few thousand miles and quite off putting to look at.
The RoadTec 01's make the bike feel much more planted and confidence inspiring. They are also very quiet. I'm coming up for 3000 miles on them so far and I've got 4mm of tread left in the middle of the rear tyre and a 1mm chicken strip.

No-one has mentioned the Pirelli Scorpion Trail II. These are fitted to my GS and although there is a bit of tread noise (mainly from the front), I find them great in the dry, but I haven't had a chance to push them in the wet. But I feel confident with them.
Bike was SH so are these the OEM tyres?

Intersting and thanks for this. I've been deliberating between PR4's (as a mate swears by them on a identical bike), and the Roadtech 01's (but he's not tried these lol). I will be ordering Roadtechs tomorrow.
Or you could buy some Conti Attack 2s , loved em on my GS. I only recently fitted a new PR4 Trail rear to my Cross Tourer because there was loads of life left in the PR4 front .
