I don't know, but part of the advert is:If you buy s/hand bits from Motoworks (for example) you don’t pay VAT so assume it’s the same for all s/hand parts from the UK.
The VAT was paid on the complete bike, so I would think no VAT as it's already been paid?If you buy s/hand bits from Motoworks (for example) you don’t pay VAT so assume it’s the same for all s/hand parts from the UK.
Possible, the Douane never like to miss out on some taxesThe VAT was paid on the complete bike, so I would think no VAT as it's already been paid?
Ta, but still in the wrong country... It looks like its done more than 5K and no photos to back the claim up.this any good? in dartford
@Loiq are you heading to France anytime soon? The saga is ongoing. Trying to email KTM is like taking to a brick wall and all the will say is that I have to talk to the dealer who can utilise KTM France Tech Help. Wankers!
I cant believe it can be that difficult to put a '23 engine in a '19 bike.
All the 19/20 motors I can find are in France or the UK. The French want stupid money for high km bikes.
Import charges rule out UK motors.
Looks more and more like a repair job.
I found another engine today - 2019 with 13300 k's on it, so about the same as my engine.@Loiq are you heading to France anytime soon?![]()
Tchi-ching!....The only thing that crosses my mind is... am I buying the same old shit![]()
Cams are a known weak point on these 790/890/901’sI found another engine today - 2019 with 13300 k's on it, so about the same as my engine.
The dealer is going to talk to them to see if there is some wiggle-room in the €2600 asking price.
All the secondhand motors here have VAT included.....

Quite possibly. If the cams are worn out (melted) does this mean KTM have superseded cams in their newer bikes?I found another engine today - 2019 with 13300 k's on it, so about the same as my engine.

Apparently the late 23/24’s have different part numbers if you follow the Facebook groupQuite possibly. If the cams are worn out (melted) does this mean KTM have superseded cams in their newer bikes?
Same part numbers up to and inc 2022Quite possibly. If the cams are worn out (melted) does this mean KTM have superseded cams in their newer bikes?
How do you know it’s only 10%?Same part numbers up to and inc 2022
New numbers for 2023
For the cams made of cheese, it affects about 10% of bikes.
Just quoting what the stealer said. How do you know it’s only 10%?
Facebook group seems to be reporting high numbers and plenty of people with a problem don’t reveal on social media
)Do you believe the dealer?Just quoting what the stealer said.
People always bitch and moan, those without problems remain silent (Aloof?)
Million dollar questionDo you believe the dealer?
