oh yes.
take numerous contentious issues, tough old things that require long stewing to tenderise to be even vaguely palatable.
gently place into a pot along with smidgeon of acid tongue and lots of research (this adds bulk and takes a while to digest ).
now heat with flaming rhetoric and just....

stir occasionally.
oh - and use a long spoon until it becomes a short one.
thats how you know it's ready to serve.
