Acerbis 43 litre polyethylene (not nylon) tank - small split under the saddle of the tank caused by the tank settling onto the relay backetry over the duration of our 18 month Japan and back bash. So now I can't put more than about 25 litres into the tank.
I beleive that the tank is cross-linked PE, so it can't be welded or glued.
I have tried welding, various hot melt glues, epoxy, polyester, some tank patching crap from M&P. Nothing will stick well enough to seal the gap. I mailed HPN and they (obviously being super safety minded and sales minded Germans) said 'you must buy a new one'.
Do any of you boffins out there know of a product that will fix it. I'm guessing something either very gooey or something viciously etching?
